Tribopolishing
Surface Treatment Excellence at Minesco
Tribopolishing is an essential step in improving the surface finish of your mechanical parts. At MINESCO, our state-of-the-art equipment is used to optimise the cosmetic and functional aspects of your components. This technique is the ideal complement to our screw machining process on our ESCOMATIC machines.

At the heart of the tribofinishing process
The tribofinishing process works with precision on a wide range of metal parts. We use high-performance equipment such as vibratory bowls that generate complex rotational and vibratory movements to guarantee uniform, controlled treatment. The parts are carefully placed in a processing vessel where the combined mechanical action ensures that very specific industrial requirements are met:
- Deburring
- Smoothing and edge rounding
- Deep cleaning
- Superfinishing
- Polishing
Adding adapted abrasive media and chemical additives directly into the tribofinishing machine allows us to process parts of any geometry while guaranteeing smooth surfaces and flawless finishes.
From watchmaking to automotive:
our fields of application:
For complex geometries or very small parts, manual polishing is often too difficult and produces inconsistent results. That is why automated tribopolishing is, in most cases, the best technical solution for ensuring smooth, uniform surfaces.
This polishing principle is applied by MINESCO in highly demanding sectors: connectors, healthcare, fluids, watchmaking and also jewellery.
For example, in the automotive industry, every tribofinishing machine is put to use to remove burrs from metal parts prior to final assembly or to optimise the surface finish before painting.
Here are some examples of our tribofinishing process:
- Deburring automotive parts before painting.
- Tribopolishing of jewellery and delicate watchmaking parts.
- Removal of micro-burrs from electronic components.
- Finishing of dental implants before use.

The key benefits
of a high-performance tribofinishing machine
Tribopolishing offers considerable economic and technical advantages over conventional methods (such as sandblasting or shot blasting).
First, processing in a vessel provides a gentler, more uniform finish that does not damage the material and scrupulously meets the dimensional specifications of your parts. Secondly, consolidating all steps within a single tribofinishing machine brings significant time and cost savings by removing the need for multiple workstations.
Thanks to our extensive fleet of equipment, which includes circular vibratory finishers for tribofinishing, MINESCO meets the most stringent customer requirements for producing perfectly smooth surfaces.
